Drakensberg
The Drakensberg is the largest mountain range in South Africa with its highest peaks all around 3400m. It is an area of lush green valleys and towering basalt cliffs. Whilst it doesn’t have any permanent snow, the higher lying parts have snow for many months of the year. This is one of South Africa’s most majestic landscapes, but it’s far from the cape and I’ve only visited it twice.
