Richtersveld

Characterised by an almost Martian terrain, the Richtersveld is a barren and dry park on the border of Namibia. Despite its aridity it is a place of amazing beauty and biodiversity, varying from rocky desert valleys to the lush banks of the Orange River. It also borders one of the most diamond rich areas in the world.
